Welcome to Dorze Lodge
We are so happy to have you as a guest in our beautiful lodge.
The main goal for us has always been to help the local community and to give our guests a unique experience. That is why we embraced the principals of "community based tourism". This means that the staff is only from local people.
We train them on-the-job. Connect between cultures, respect and teach. Dorze Lodge is a great place to spend some time with the very friendly local community and go back to nature.
No Wi-Fi
This is not available, we hope this gives you an opportunity to spend quality time with the other guests and the locals. The 3G network is generally very good.
Malaria-Free Zone
At 2,100 meters altitude, there are no malaria mosquitos. Mosquito nets available upon request if preferred.
Spectacular Viewpoint
On the end of our property there is a beautiful viewpoint on a round plateau overlooking Arba Minch and the Great Rift Valley.
Our Complete Philosophy
It is also a great place to have a rest for a couple of days from your busy tour program. Or maybe you want to stay some weeks and enjoy the beautiful and unique hiking and trekking experiences.
Dorze Lodge is also a great escape if you live in Ethiopia, and you want to go somewhere for the weekend or holiday. We are sure that you have just found the best place to be.
We can also host your conference or gathering of any kind. Just sit back in your chair or lay in a hammock and enjoy the beautiful view, hear the sounds coming out from the valley of people working and children playing.
Walk to the viewpoint at the end of our property and see the breathtaking view or maybe do some meditation or yoga.
We work together with different NGO's to help improve the living standards of the local community. Among these are Dires from Addis Ababa and Foundation Children for Africa from Poland.
